Introducing The Thinking Teams Podcast

This Friday, July 31st marks the launch of my new podcast, The Thinking Teams Podcast. The Thinking Teams Podcast invites leaders to talk about what it takes to lead thoughtful people and diverse teams. As a seminary dean I’ve come to value the diverse opinions of faculty members. I see difference as a strength, especially when it comes to building teams. I also see it as an important value to nurture in churches looking to adopt a teams-based approach to leadership. This is particularly true for co-vocational churches and those interested in building self-supporting leadership teams.

Season 1 – Thinking Teams and Christian Higher Education

In the first season I will have conversations with Christian higher education and theological school leaders in Canada. Special shout out to Phil Kay who suggested that I do a podcast instead of having private one-on-one conversations with leaders. Brilliant suggestion, Phil!

Who will be joining me?

As of today I have 7 Christian higher education and theological school presidents that have agreed to be guests on The Thinking Teams Podcast. My very first guest is Dr. Paul Spilsbury, president of Regent College in Vancouver, B.C. In the episode, he talks about the founding of Regent College and what makes it distinct as a theological school. We also talk about Paul’s journey to become Regent’s president and some of the joys and challenges he has faced so far.

When does it start and how often will episodes be released?

The first episode will air this Friday, July 31st on Spotify and YouTube. I plan to integrate Apple Podcasts as well. After that, my plan will be to release episodes bi-weekly.
